Have a Lark with Some Daylilies

I love when plants make clusters of flowers. The cottagey look of these larkspurs and daylilies really caught my eye this morning. My larkspurs are about done for the year, but I can't imagine not having them planted in sundry places around the yard. They will always be a staple cool season annual at my place. They mix well with about every other flower.

I am going to plant some larkspur next year. Not sure how I ever missed planting them

The larkspurs are such a pretty blue. I love blue flowers that leave an airy feeling to the view.

Not to mention that larkspurs are easy too. Just throw some seeds on the ground in late September or October and they will grow on their own. This year I have them growing in all kinds of strange places where they have voluntarily come up.

Makes a charming combination. I've never grown larkspur. For some reason I associate them with delphiniums which are a disaster here. Yours certainly do well.
