I needed a place to put all my gardening notes. Thought it would be fun for other people to see my input on various items of interest. I'm particularly fond of roses, fragrants, and flowering vines. Hope you enjoy.

You can have it all
Shall I suggest yet another beautiful vine? How about a real hummer of a hummingbird attractor? Or should we just plant a delicious vegetable? Well, with the scarlet runner bean you can have all three. It's a nice vine with cute little red flowers. Hummingbirds are attracted to the flowers. Did I mention that it makes delectable beans that taste just like regular green beans? Yep, this plant has it all, yet I never saw it growing anywhere before stumbling upon it on another web site. You can bet I'll have some in my yard this year. This picture comes courtesy of that favorite web site of mine, Floridata. Why are wonderful plants like this so seldom seen?
